        L2O Designs began in 2010 as L2 Designs, pronounced L to the second power.  Owners Luthenya and Leslie Wright sold designer purses and jewelry to raise scholarship funds. L2 was reborn in 2020 as L2O to include the name of Leslie’s baby girl, Oaklynn who was born that same year.

         At the onset of COVID-19, and at the insistence of her family, Luthenya began making masks for friends and relatives.  With support from the SSU Class of 1976 and other contributors, she was able to continue making masks to give away and for purchase.  This period of sewing masks rekindled a love of sewing that had laid dormant for over 30 years.  She began to sew garments for herself and for her daughter.

         How could this newly restored hobby bring glory to God?  Luthenya returned to the original reason for L2O which was to raise scholarship funds.   'I have always dreamed of sending students to college but could never afford to financially'.  With L2O, Luthenya can sell the handmade garments she makes and use a portion of the proceeds for scholarship funds. 

L2O Designs has the look for such a time as this. 

         "The professional look has changed since my time as assistant principal and teacher". A more casual, but classy look has emerged", says Luthenya.  With so much virtual activity, one may just need to look marvelous from the head to the waist...  L2O addresses all of these needs.   Our tops, dresses and slacks  need very little if any ironing. The mostly oversized designs are perfect for work, church, dining, shopping or hanging out with friends. They can be easily accessorized with jewelry or scarfs and worn with boots, Chucks, sandals or heels.  

     Each season, L2O selects one or two featured items.  This summer, they have chosen a woven cocoon shaped dress which works for all shapes. This touches across the bust line and around the upper arm and is very forgiving at the stomach and hip line.  The second is also a dress that features dolman sleeves and fits closely around the hipline.  It is made in a knit fabric which adds to its versatileness. 

       All L2O Design items are handmade and sold in sizes Small, Medium, Large and extra-large based upon the measurement of the bust, waist and hips.
